Responsibilities

The Fiscal Policy Division is responsible for negotiating and administering the Federal Provincial Fiscal Arrangements; forecasting, analyzing and monitoring provincial revenues; conducting analysis as determined by federal-provincial-territorial, provincial-territorial and Atlantic Finance ministers, as well as by First Ministers, the Council of the Federation and the Council of Atlantic Premiers as directed to Finance Ministers; and providing inputs and analytical support for fiscal reporting (Budget, Fall Update, Public Accounts, etc.), fiscal management and policy making processes.
